Love this! The typewriter I learned how to type on was my dad's "Smith Corona Clipper". It was a so-called "student portable" sat in its own case (like a small suitcase) and weighed at least 25 lbs. It had the black keys with white letters. Your piece is very clever, and congrats on the DD!
He's about 18" tall. I just found a box of doll parts at the local junk shop and within 48 hours this is what I did with the first piece in the box. I can't wait to get to the other parts. It's amazing how fast a piece can come together when the right parts inspire you.
